I actually bought the sign off it when it was being torn down. We live in the old Combest house and I grew up around here, wanted it to stay in the neighborhood! My wife and I love Adair county history, and were honored when the owners agreed to sell it to us. We have it displayed proudly in our kitchen and dining room to preserve it for years to come!" The latest chart provided by the Lake Cumberland District Health Department shows numbers in the ten county district. Looking at Adair and surrounding, Metcalfe County is not reflected in this chart as it is in the Barren River District Health Department.
