Friday's "A Visual Mystery" was a photo of a wooded, man-made pond in Russell County, which consists of pure, clean water surfaced with pure, clean, smooth ice with some unique properties.

Scenic Old Barn Near Judio, Kentucky

Robert writes, "A couple months ago I was in this area taking in some photography...mainly keeping to Highway 214. Highway 953 on my return trip (the road this barn is on) was my planned destination since it was missed the first time. Image taken Saturday, Feb 6th."

Turtle Doves not speaking

LCDHD: Adair drops out of red (slightly)

Adair County is in the "orange-accelerated" range. This is the first time in several weeks we have had any county drop out of the "red-critical" range.

This chart shows our ten counties by the numbers of Coronavirus active cases, hospitalizations, self isolations, deaths and totals in the Lake Cumberland Health District. It does not track Metcalfe County, the other of Adair's surrounding counties, which is in the Barren River Health District.

New at the Jim Blair Park & Recreation Center

Two full sized outdoor Basketball courts and a Pickleball court are open to the public at the Jim Blair Park and Recreation Center, Hudson Street in Columbia. There's no net yet on the Pickleball court but anyone is welcome to bring a portable net until one is installed. The Center is now available for rentals at 50% capacity. Contact the Judge’s Office to reserve or to get more information.
