Cicadas on the increase
2021-05-26 - Shelbyville, KY - Photo by Pen. It started with short, experimental bursts of noise in the trees, and the occasional husk on a tree limb, but the chorus is growing steadily and now the cicadas are starting to appear anywhere you stop to look carefully.

Who's who behind the camera
2021-05-26 - Columbia, KY - Photo by Linda Waggener, ColumbiaMagazine.com. The Adair County School District officially closed the 2020-2021 school year last week, May 20-21, 2021 with celebrations to honor every graduate's name, accomplishment and add a picture each time it is possible to take one. It's wonderful to see each smiling face in every picture. It's also nice to know who's behind the camera organizing, framing and snapping those photos. Columbia Magazine sends thanks to photographer Maddie Feese!

2021-05-25 - Campbellsville, KY - Photo courtesy Campbellsville Fire - Rescue. Chief Chris Taylor says "As we enter the summer season and this week kicks off national safe boating week, we want to remind you to be safe on the water this season. The statistics speak for themselves. 79% of boat deaths are due to drowning, 86% of victims are NOT wearing a life jacket and 2/3 of drowning victims are 'good' swimmers.
Wearing a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket is the simplest life-saving strategy for being in or around the water."
