Wildflower: Birdeye Speedwell

These tiny blue flowers are among the first to flower each spring. According to the Wikipedia entry for Veronica persica, it is also commonly known as common field-speedwell, Persian speedwell, large field speedwell, bird's-eye, or winter speedwell"

Sulphur Well journal - The Gum at The Well

The precious memories journal of Ruby Williams talks about "The Well" which is how we refer to it when we're going to the little town of Sulphur Well, and "The Gum," pictured above, which is how we refer to the artesian well, white sulphur water flowing since its discovery. Thousands over the years have leaned over and taken a sip. Some have just leaned in and sniffed and that was enough for them.

Mayor Hoots takes gifts to NH residents

The City of Columbia visited Summit Manor nursing home on Wednesday morning. Seventy baskets for Easter were presented to all residents with eggs, coloring pages/crayons, and bunny ears.
