Wayne "Happy Trails" Spears, Commander of American Legion Post 119 Burkesville, with his wife, Sharon "MisHap" Spears, leader of the American Legion Cumberland County Auxiliary, Unit 119. The groups hosted the event and their new Post building "The Service Station" was chosen to be the "Home of Honor" for the Parrish Brothers memorabilia.

Caretakers Riding Club of RS honors servicemen

The Caretakers Riding Club from Russell Springs, KY were among the honored guests at the ceremony honoring Cumberland County brothers - Barney, Taylor and Watson Parrish - who enlisted in the U. S. Army to serve during World War Two. American Legion Post 119 in Burkesville was chosen to be the permanent "Home of Honor" for the flags and medals the men were awarded.

Fresh from the farms at Saturday's Farmers Market on the Square: homemade bread with ground lamb burger topped with fresh oyster mushrooms. Salad fixings include fresh red and green lettuces, fresh spinach, fresh radishes and green onion.
