See what she shared with you: What was the hardest adjustment you had to make? "Staying away from family and cold winter weather" Why did you choose LWC? "Because of the program offered" Where is the most interesting place you have been and why? "Key West Florida, it's a beautiful place and it has its own vibe" Share a favorite tradition from home and help us understand it by providing an explanation: "Celebrating diwali with fireworks and lots of food. Diwali is one of my favorite festivals and on this day everyone in the family has every meal together. We have a family get together. Today's the day Taylor and Adair Countians say a final goodbye to John Bam Carney, the hard working, much loved 51st District State Representative. Services to honor him will be held at 10amCT/11amET today at the new Taylor County High School Gymnasium. Leading the service will be Rev. John Chowning and Rev. Eric Gilbert. Larry Joe Smith writes, "This photo, taken before the Green River Lake was built, shows one of the reasons that flood control became reality with the construction of Green River Dam upstream in Taylor County. "Green River was a wild river before we had flood control and I remember on numerous occasions seeing the Green out of her banks and up to people's houses, barns and even American Legion Park in Greensburg under water. "This classic picture from the early 1960's displays the Green River out of its banks on Columbia Highway 61 in Greensburg. The barn was where Greensburg Dairy Queen now stands."
