Be prepared for every weather type
2025-03-05 - Adair County, KY - Photo From NOAA weather service. One of the friends at the LWC swim exercise class said, "We're getting the whole shebang in weather today - winds up to 40mph, rain, plunging temperatures, and snow??" It just highlights the saying that if you don't like the weather in Kentucky just stick around a bit and it will change. We've run preparation tips from the utility companies for the high winds and potential power outages, now we just need to say... be prepared for anything! Drive defensively as you go.

A 'red letter' day in Columbia history
2025-03-04 - Downtown Columbia, KY - Photo by Mike Watson. Thirty-seven (37) years ago the Moore family opened in their present location on the Square in Columbia and have been serving some of the best food in town ever since, writes Mike Watson. Friday morning Charlotte Moore Hare was serving up breakfast, fast and hot, even while shorthanded and with water issues - now repaired. The iconic restaurant, a favorite with locals as well as travelers, is noted state-wide and beyond. With a long history of businesses in this location, the Moore's have been operating for 46 years total, the first few years across the Square. Stop by and tell 'em you saw it on Columbia Magazine!
