Veronica writes, "Thunderstorms rolling in. We needed the rain for sure, but our flag is not supposed to be left in inclement weather or even in darkness without being properly lit.

While it brings a good patriotic smile to see so many flags around town, let's make sure to treat them with the respect they deserve for what she represents."

Code red Friday morning weather alert

Columbians received a Code red thunderstorm warning about 10:20amCT Friday. It didn't warn of hail that came with pouring rain, and high winds, which we had here at the Columbia Magazine HQ. Friends in Russell Springs reported no storms there at that time, we hope this passes quickly and leaves no damage behind.
