By Billy Joe Fudge Yes, wasps drink water but that isn't the only reason you see them at your fountain, swimming pool, farm pond, bird bath, etc. in late spring and especially hot Summer weather. Wasps mix water with wood pulp to make their nests. As far as I know they were the first paper manufacturers! Of course, Dirt Daubers are wasps that build nests from mud. Additionally, they use water to cool the temperatures in their nests and maybe even to maintain humidity levels for their larvae in the nest. Jackson Dean takes 1st in 100m in Nashville 2022-06-18 - Nashville, TN - Photo from proud Dad, Craig Dean. Congratulations to Jackson Dean, who took 1st place in the Jr High, boys 100m Dash at the Regional TNT competition in Nashville. In January, Jackson traveled to Bowling Green to participate in the 2022 Kentucky District TNT competitions, where teens from around the state of Kentucky came together for fellowship, to compete in events ranging from sports to the performing arts, and from education to Christian ministry. Jack had a successful weekend. His basketball team took first in the basketball tournament. He was chosen for the All-District Football team and he won the Boys 100m dash. With his performance, he was chosen to represent the Kentucky district as they traveled to compete in the Regional TNT competition that was held at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN. Teens from every state in the Southeastern United States bring their District Teams to compete.
