LWC Men's Swimming Captures third place at Fall Frenzy

The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team finished third place in the final standings following final session of the LWC Fall Frenzy on Saturday evening at Holloway Center Natatorium.


The Blue Raiders finished third out of five teams at the meet with a score of 611 points, falling 52 points behind Milligan (Tenn.) with 663. Lindenwood-Belleville (Ill.) won the men's side of the meet with 1,307 points.

Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team notched two more A-cuts for the 200-yard medley relay (1:39.09) and in the 800-yard freestyle relay (7:33.27) during the morning session of the fall frenzy. Clemens Paetzold placed second and an A-cut in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 54.75. Olek Olejnik received a B-cut and a second place finish in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:01.22.

The Blue Raiders continued their efforts into the final session of the meet. In the men's 1650-yard freestyle Pedro Terra notched a third place finish and an A-cut with a time of 12:47.75. Olek Olejnik received his second B-cut of the day in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 49.27. LWC men's swimming finished the meet with a second place finish and an A-cut in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:17.48).

The Blue Raider men and women's team combined 1,532 total team points over the two-day event, finishing behind event winner Lindenwood- Belleville with 1,816. Milligan took third place with 1,294 points.

The Blue Raiders are back in action against Cumberlands (Ky.) on October 6, 2018 at the Holloway Center Natatorium, Holloway Health & Wellness Center, 399 Williams St., Columbia, KY.
