Eagle football camp held at Campbellsville schools

Campbellsville middle and high school football teams hosted an Eagle Football Camp on July 16-18, with about 25 students participating.

CHS head football coach Dale Estes worked with camp participants, along with assistant coaches Herb Wiseman, Robbie Gribbins, Bronson Gowdy, Will Griffin and Aaron Webb.



Camp was for students entering first through eighth grades and focused on fundamentals of each offensive and defensive position.

Each participant received a camp T-shirt.

On the final day of camp, participants competed in kicking, throwing and catching competitions. Winners are as follow.

First- through third-grade division - Owen Smith, kicking; Griff Thomas, throwing; and Blake Absher, catching.

Fourth- and fifth-grade division - Jaron Johnson, kicking; Cameron Estes, throwing; and Maddox Hawkins, catching.

Sixth- through eighth-grade division - Deondre Weathers, kicking; Camren Vicari, throwing; and J.T. Washington, catching.

Participants named Camper of the Week include Landry Brown for the first- through third-grade division, Julian Smith for the fourth- and fifth-grade division and Kaleb Miller for the sixth- through eighth-grade division.
