Albany, KY man who discharged firearm in home of estranged wife, child sentenced Clinton County, KY, man sentenced to 5 years and ordered to pay $1,000 in restitution Click on headline for complete story By Terry Sebastian or Crystal Staley News from Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear's office FRANKFORT, KY. (Mon 16 Jul 2018) - Attorney General Andy Beshear and his Office of Special Prosecutions today announced a Clinton County man has been sentenced to serve five years for wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and terroristic threatening. Daniel R. Guffey, 53, of Albany, pleaded guilty June 18 in Clinton Circuit Court to one count each of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief and first-degree terroristic threatening. On July 12, Guffey was sentenced to 5 years in prison and must also pay $1,000 in restitution. The Clinton County Sheriff's Office investigated the case, and Beshear's Office of Special Prosecutions is handling the prosecution. According to court records, on or about November 7, 2017, Guffey kicked in the door to the residence of his estranged wife and discharged a firearm damaging her stove, while she and her minor son was present.
