Vivian Vire Hamilton, 84, Metcalfe Co., KY (1933-2018)

July 31, 1933 ~ July 10, 2018 (Age 84)
Vivian was retired from Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton and of the Baptist faith. She was the matriarch of a respected South Central Kentucky family. She was the daughter of the late John Will & Eugenia Knight Vire. Her husband, Jim Knight, survives. She leaves six direct living descendants. Her final resting place will be in Edmonton, KY.

Vivian Hamilton age 84 of Glasgow, KY, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at T.J. Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow.

Funeral services will be held at 11amCT, Friday, July 13, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home, 201 E Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens, Greensburg Road, Edmonton, KY. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, Thursday, July 12, 2018, and after 9amCT, Friday, at the funeral home.

She was the daughter of the late John Will & Eugenia Knight Vire. She was born July 31, 2018. She died Tuesday, July 10, 2018, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, a the age of 84 years, 11 months, and 10 days.

Vivian was retired from Metcalfe Health Care in Edmonton and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Jim Hamilton

  • One daughter: Susan Elmore of Glasgow, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Eric Elmore of Glasgow, KY; Colleen (Tom) Watson of Chicago, IL; Kevin (Natalie) Hamilton of Chicago, IL; and Joshua Elmore of Glasgow, KY

  • One great grand daughter: Ava Elmore of Glasgow, KY

  • Two sisters: Arlene Agic of Edmonton, KY; and Ruth Wileman of Chicago, IL
Besides her parentsl she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Etta Riddle and Eloise Devito, and a son-in-law Tim Elmore.
