She was a native of Clark County, IL, the daughter of Everett Okle & Gladys Opal Bradord Brewster. Her husband, Herschel Ardel Smith, survives. She leaves two direct living descendants, twin sons, Jimmy & Timmy Smith.

Cremation was chosen. A memorial service will be later.



Virginia Jean Smith, 85, Columbia, Adair County, KY (1933-2018)


She was born on May 13, 1933 in Marshall, Clark County, IL. She was the daughter of the late Everett Okle & Gladys Opal Bradford Brewster. She died Wenesday, July 4, 2018, in Columbia, Adair County, KY, at the age of 85 years, one month, and 21 days.

She is survived by her husband, Herschel Ardel Smith, of the Weed Keltner Road in Adair County, KY, and the following:
  • Two twin sons: Jimmy Smith & Timmy Smith of Weed Keltner Road in Adair County, KY

  • One brother: Darrell Brewster of Fontain, IN

  • One sister: Nancy Moss of Marshall, IL

  • Several other relatives & friends
She was a homemaker & attended the Praise Assemby of God Church on Jamestown Street in Columbia

Cremation was chosen, memorial service will be later
