By Calen McKinney

Campbellsville High School junior Destiny Deason attended the Kentucky Family, Career and Community Leaders of America State Leadership Camp in Hardinsburg on June 4-6.

Deason is Region 14 first vice president, and attended the three-day camp to train for her position. About 150 other state and regional officers attended the camp from across Kentucky.

Deason participated in various leadership development activities and met with the regional executive council to plan and prepare for fall and spring regional meetings. The meetings bring together FCCLA chapters from six surrounding counties.

CHS family and consumer sciences teacher Deanna Campbell is the FCCLA advisor.
