Freda L. Mays, Warren County resident/Green County, KY native

October 3, 1948 - June 3, 2018 (Age 69)

She retired in May 2018 from Western Kentucky University after serving as a staff and faculty member for 41 years. She was passionate about her role as a teacher and treasured each and every student. She was a true dog lover and never met one that she didn't want to take home to a call her own. Her final resting place is in Macedonia Cemetery in Green County, KY

Freda L Mays, 69, entered into rest at her home on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

Freda's Life Celebration was Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 10amCT at J.C. Kirby and Son at the Lovers Lane Chapel. Visitation took place 9am-10amCT before the service. Burial was in the Macedonia Baptist Cemetery, 125 Macedonia Church Road, Greensburg, KY 42743,at 12pmNoonCT, Thursday.

She was born in Green County, KY, Sunday,m October 3, 1948. She was the daughter of the late Fred & Roxie Mays. She died June 3, 2018, in Bowling Green, Warren County, KY, at the age of 69 years, eight months.

She wass preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Roxie Mays. Survivors include:
  • Several cousins

  • A special friend she considered her son, Kent Preston (Jennifer), Henderson, KY

  • Her beloved dogs
