Storm leaves Paris, KY, in the dark Kentucky Press News Service Original Story URL FRANKFORT, KY (Wed 16 May 2018) - Hundreds of Bourbon County residents were left without power Tuesday night and Wednesday morning because of a thunderstorm. The Paris electric utility said a tree fell on a power pole and plunged most of the city into darkness, WKYT reports. As of this morning, power was being turned back on in the city's downtown section but estimates were it might take several more hours to restore areas outside of Paris.
