Barbara J. Curtsinger, 71, Russell County, KY (1947-2018)

She was a native of Russell County, KY, a resident of the county at the time of her death and her final resting place will be in the city of her birth, Jamestown, KY. She was the matriarch of a respected Russell County, KY family. She was daughter of the late Alpha Murray Wells and Marlin Wells. Her husband, Davis Curtsinger, survives. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. With her death, two of the four siblings born to Alpha & Marlin Wells survive.

Barbara J. Curtsinger, 71 of Jamestown, KY, passed away on April 13, 2018, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell County, KY.

Funeral services for Barbara Curtsinger will be at H.E. Pruitt Memory Chapel, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, at 11amCT, on Tuesday, April 17, 2018, with Pastor Mike Bunch officiating. Friends may visit after 5pmCT, Monday, April 16, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

She was born in Jamestown, Russell County, KY on February 13, 1947. She was a daughter of the late Alpha (Murray) and Marlin Wells. She died April 13, 2018, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 71 years, two months.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Davis Curtsinger, of Jamestown, KY

  • Two daughters Donna (Michael) Keen, of Jamestown, KY, and Sharon (Jeff) Gaskins, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Her two brothers: Leonard (Loretta) Wells, and Jerry (Marilyn) Wells, both of Jamestown, KY

  • Her four grandchildren

  • Her five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Juanita Chaney.
