She died Sunday, March 11, 2018, in Avon, IN, at the age of 82 years, seven months, and 11 days. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Robert Short; three brothers, Willie Spears, Howard Spears, and Glen Spears; and three sisters, Sue Burnley, Hilda Jones, and Grace Blair.
