Hickman City, KY - (March 3, 2018) - The Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Kentucky Division of Emergency Management are on Bernal Avenue in reference to a missing Hickman Police Officer. At approximately 9:15pmCT, KSP received notification that a Hickman City Police Officer was possibly missing in a flooded field on Bernal Avenue in Hickman City.

Search and Rescue teams and various emergency agencies from Kentucky and Tennessee have been in the process of searching for the patrol vehicle and missing police officer. An active search is still underway.

A media staging area has been established at the City Park on Bernal Avenue. The public is asked to avoid the area due to the large number of resources deployed and the limited roadway access.

The investigation is continuing by the Kentucky State Police, assisted by various agencies. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721 or anonymously at 1-800-222-5555. Citizens may also report tips anonymously through the KSP app. The app is available for iPhone, iPad and Android applications and can be easily downloaded free of charge through Apple and Google Play stores. - Det.
