He was a member of Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom. He was the son of Francis Sullivan Garner and the late Ed Sullivan. He leaves 27 direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Jessie Glendo Sullivan, 72 of Jamestown, KY, passed away, Sunday January 14, 2018 at his residence.

Visitation will be 10am-1:30pmCT, Thursday January 17, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY and after 2pmCT, on Thursday at Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be at 3pmCT, Thursday January 17, 2018 at Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church, Highway 619, Jamestown, KY with Bro. John Blakey & Bro. Jason Hood officiating. Interment will be in the Blakey Cemetery, Highway 619, Jamestown, KY.



Jessie Glendo Sullivan, 72, Russell County, KY (1945-2018)


He was born on Tuesday April 03, 1945 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the Francis Sullivan Garner, and the late Ed Sullivan. He died Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 72 years, nine month, and 11 days.

He was a member of Hayes Chapel United Methodist Church and a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom.
He is also survived by:
  • Three daughters: Stephanie, wife of Terry Alexander, Splendora, TX; Melissa Hill, Russell Springs, KY; and Elaine, wife of Charlie Buis, Russell Springs, KY

  • One son: John Barr, Jr., Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Juanita Grider, Jamestown, KY; and Minnie Belle, wife of Brian Bradshaw, Glensfork, KY

  • One brother: Carson, husband of Arlie Sullivan, Somerset, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • Fourteen great-grandchildren

  • One great-great grandchild
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Sullivan; his daughter, Tiffany Sullivan; his brothers, Junior, Eugene, Phillip, Ernie, and Billy Joe Sullivan; and a sister, Shelia Moore.
