Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 19 Dec 2017

Indictments brought against 6 individuals from Campbellsville, KY, Jamestown, KY, and Rome City, IN, on charges including assault, trafficking, possession, shoplifting, tampering with evidence, and DUI.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 19 December 2017:


  • Stephanie Randall (08/26/1981), Lions Dr., Rome City, IN Indictment No. 17-CR-00224. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Assault, 3rd degree, Prisoner Transportation Officer. Count 2 - Resisting arrest. Count 3 - Disorderly conduct, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Contempt of court libel/slander resistance to order. Bond set at $10,000 cash.

  • Doug A. Wheeler (10/04/1987), Bell Court, Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00025-001. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (<2g meth). Count 2 - Drug paraphernalia buy/possess. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Peristent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $15,000/10%.

  • Donte Hatcher (07/01/1984), Earl Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00225-002. Charged with 1 count. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Bond set at $5,000/10%.

  • Austyn Thornton (09/06/1999), Bell Ave., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00226. Charged with 5 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (<4g cocaine) while in possession of a firearm. Count 2 - Traffic in marijuana, less than 8oz, 1st offense. Count 3 - Carrying a concealed deadly weapon. Count 4 - Drug paraphernalia buy/possess. Count 5 - Speeding 10 MPH over limit. Bond set at $10,000 full cash, no violations of the law, no use of drugs or alcohol.

  • Jessica M. Parsons (09/29/1993), Ballard St., Jamestown, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00227. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 2 - TBUT or disposition shoplifting under $500. Bond set at $5,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • James D. Young (10/12/1982), Miller Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 17-CR-00228. Charged with 8 counts. Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense (methamphetamine). Count 2 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified). Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Controlled substance prescription not in original container, 1st degree. Count 5 - Operating a motor vehicle under influence alcohol/drugs .08, 2nd offense. Count 6 - Possession of marijuana. Count 7 - Failure of owner to maintain required insurance/security, 1st. Count 8 - Driving on suspended license, 1st offense. Bond set at $25,000/10%, not operate motor vehicle.
