KSP Investigating Breckinridge Co. Deaths By Trooper Jeff Gregory, KSP POST 4 Hudson, KY - Kentucky State Police Post 04 Troopers and Detectives responded to a death Investigation Wednesday morning involving two Breckinridge Co. men. On 12-20-2017 at approximately 12:18amET, KSP received a call from the Breckenridge Co. dispatch requesting KSP assistance at a shooting that took place outside of a residence at 484 Centerview Rough River Rd. in Hudson, KY. When Police Officers arrived they found Donny Peek (60) of Westview, KY, and Jeffrey Moore (55) of Harned, KY, both deceased in the driveway from what was later to be determined as gunshot wounds suffered by both men. Mr. Peek was the live-in boyfriend of Theresa Moore who lives at the Hudson residence along with her son Jonathan Masterson (28). Allegedly Peek and Theresa Moore were in a domestic dispute when her estranged husband, Jeffrey Moore was called to the residence. When Jeffrey Moore arrived he and Donny Peek were involved in a physical altercation in the driveway that resulted in Peek shooting Jeffrey Moore. Jonathan Masterson attempted to render aid to Moore when Peek allegedly fired a shot at Masterson. Masterson then pulled a gun and fired it at Peek striking him several times. No criminal charges have been filed at this time. When the investigation is complete it will be presented to the Breckinridge County Attorney for review. Autopsies on both Donny Peek and Jeffrey Moore were performed this morning at the State Medical Examiners Office in Louisville. KSP was assisted at the scene by the Breckinridge Co. SO, Irvington PD, Hardinsburg PD, McDaniels Fire Dept, Breckinridge Co. Central EMS, and the Breckinridge Co. Coroners Office. The Investigation is ongoing by KSP Post 4 Detective Adam Hutchison.
