Maultie Jean Williams West, Russell Co., KY/Adair Co., KY, native (1931-2017)

She was a cook for the Russell County School system and a member of Main Street Church of God. She was member of a respected family with strong ties in Adair and Russell Counties. She was the daughter of the late Bascom & Nellie Bailey Williams and the widow of Getha West. She leaves seven direct living descendants.

Maultie Jean (Williams) West, 86, Russell Springs, KY passed away , Saturday December 09, 2017 at Fair Oaks Health System, Jamestown, KY 42629.

Funeral services will be at 2pmCT, Tuesday December 12, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Edwin Lainhart officiating. Interment will be in the Bernard Cemetery, Stephens Ridge Road, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 10am-2pmCT, Tuesday December 12, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel



Maultie Jean Williams West, Russell Co., KY/Adair native (1931-2017)


She was born on Thursday August 27, 1931 in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Nellie Bailey Williams & Bascom Williams. She died Saturday, December 09, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY, at the age of 86 years three months, and 13 days. She is survived by:
  • One son: Jackie West (Spouse Patti), Russell Springs, KY
  • Two sisters: Esther Hadley, Russell Springs, KY; and Lena Mae Riley, Louisville, KY

  • Three grandchildren

  • and three great-grandchildren
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Getha West; a son, Larry West; a grandson Jon West; and three brothers and one sister.

She was a cook for the Russell County School system and a member of Main Street Church of God.
