Betty Lou Crist Haynes, 83, Russell County, KY (1934-2017)

She was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Russell Springs, KY. She was a native of Marysville, Ohio, and a resident of Russell Springs, a the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Alma Cook Sherman & Clarence Melville Sherman. Her husband, Frederick L. Haynes, survives. She leaves six direct living descendants.

Betty Jo (Crist) Haynes, 83, of Russell Springs, KY. passed away, Wednesday November 29, 2017 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center, Somerset, KY.

A Celebration of Resurrection memorial service will be at 11amCT, Saturday December 02, 2017 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 250 French Valley Court, Russell Springs, KY with Pastor Douglas Couch officiating.

Betty Lou Crist Haynes, 83, Russell County, KY (1934-2017)

She was born on Monday August 10, 1934 in Marysville, Union County, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Alma Cook Sherman & Clarence Melville Sherman. She died Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Somerset, Pulaski County, KY, at the age of 83 years, three months, and 10 days.

She was a homemaker and a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.

She is survived by:
  • Husband: Fredrick L. Haynes, Russell Springs, KY

  • One daughter: Connie Jo, wife of Bradley W. Schmucker, Tampa, FL

  • One son: Mark L. Kempfer, husband of Sharon, Kempfer, Fort Wayne, IN

  • One sister: Linda L. Harris, Ostrander, Ohio

  • Four grandchildren: Aaron K. Bartoe, Colin A. Bartoe, Matthew R. Bartoe and Justin A. Kempfer
