Election 2018 - First day of filing for offices has been busy

Seven candidates file in first two hours first day, Wed 08 Nov 2017
RE-DIRECT: END of FIRST DAY REPORT/15 FILED

Filing for local offices has been brisk this morning.

- Terry Hadley, Republican, incumbent 7th District Magistrate, was the first this to file morning, Wednesday, November 8, 2017, according to Lisa Greer, County Court Clerk>

Others filing as of 10amCT, were:


- Jennifer Hutchison-Corbin, Republican, incumbent, for Adair County Attorney.

- Lisa Greer, Republican, incumbent, for Adair County Clerk

- Buddy Powell, Republican, for Adair County Regional Jailer.

- Doug Campbell, Republican, for Magistrate, District 2.

- Tony Gabehart, Republican, for Magistrate, District 6

- Jason Rector, Republican incumbent, for Constable, District 6
At 10amCT, no Democrats or Independents, or Minor Party Candidates had filed.

In 2018, all seven magisterial seats are open, as are the offices of County Judge Executive, County Attorney, County Clerk, Coroner, County PVA, County Surveyor, County Sheriff, Circuit Court Clerk, Columbia City Mayor and Council Seats, and School Board Seats in Division I and Division 3.

For those not running in a party primary, the deadline to be registered as an independent or in a minor party is December 28, 2017 in the County Court Clerk's office, or December 31, 2017, online at the office of the Secretary of State.
