Dora Mae Asbury of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Casey County Hospital. He was 88.

Funeral services are 12pmNoonCT/1pmET, Monday, October 23, 2017 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 757 Campbellsville Street, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 10am-12pmNoonCT/11amET-1pmET at the funeral home.



Pallbearers will be: Troy Sanders, Ray Weddle, Zach Weddle, Randy Atwood, William Noe and Joey Pollard.

Born in Casey County on November 19, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Coy & Eva Maupin Cain. She died Saturday, October 23, 2107, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and four days.

She was a former employee of Walgreens. Dora was a lover of life.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Larry (Brenda) Cain of Liberty, KY

  • One daughter: Dawn Lynn of Liberty, KY

  • One brother: Freddy (Joy) Cain of Yosemite, KY

  • Three sisters: Bessie Grider of Liberty, KY; Essie Haste of Indianapolis, IN; and Linda Roy of Liberty, KY
In addition to her parents, Dora is preceded in death by three sons, Charles Cain, Jerry Lee Pennington, and Gary C. Pendelton; and one brother, Benny Cain.
