Mrs. Geneva Pierce Hunt, Taylor County, KY (1933-2017)

Mrs. Hunt professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She had worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville several years, but her calling in life was to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she loved to read or raise flowers, and considered yard sales and auctions social events as well as a place to find a good bargain or two. Her husband of 67 years, Edward Hunt, survives. She leaves eight direct living descendants.

Mrs. Geneva (Pierce) Hunt, 84, departed this life on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at her home

A funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Hunt was held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11amCT/12pmNoonET, in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY. Bro Freddy Thompson officiated.. Interment is in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 3878 Greensburg Rd, Campbellsville, KY. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, September 9, 2017 after 10amCT/11amET, until time for the funeral.

Mrs. Hunt professed faith in Christ and was a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She had worked at the Fruit of the Loom plant in Campbellsville several years, but her calling in life was to be a wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves to cherish her memory:

Her husband of nearly 67 years: Edward Hunt, and:
  • Two children: Phyllis Sallee and husband Eddie; and David Hunt and special friend Kaye Hunt and her children, all of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three siblings: Louise Manasco and husband Jesse, and Juanita Perkins, all of Campbellsville, KY; and Kenny Pierce and wife Shirley of Greensburg, KY
  • Two granddaughters: Samantha Arnold and husband Chad, and Andrea Smith, both of Campbellsville, KY.

  • Four great-grandchildren: Maddox, Kinley, Caroline, and Avery

  • A sister-in-law: Gertrude Sprowles of Campbellsville, KY

  • And a host of other family and friends

In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials in the form of donations to the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund or the Galilean Children's Home. Those can be made in person at the funeral home.

The L.R. Petty Funeral Home 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbelsville, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
