Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr, Green Co., KY (1923-2017)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church, taught Bible study and Sunday school for approximately 60 years, served in the church choir, Missions President, and Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Circle. She went back to college and graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1973 with an Associates of Arts Degree after graduating high school in the late 40's. She also took extended classes at U.K and W.K.U. which included Library Science. She was a former machine operator for Fruit of the Loom, Inc., and was the Green County Book Mobile Librarian. She loved missionary work and served in other various organizations for over 40 years.

Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr of Greensburg, KY, departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2017 at the Campbellsville Nursing and Rehab Center, Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral services for Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr will be conducted at 2pmCT, Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Wilson Cemetery, with Bro. Robert Knight and Bro. Irvin Milby, Jr. officiating. Visitation is requested 2pm-8pmCT, Tuesday, September 5, 2017, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Wednesday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Dylan White, B.J. Marr, Derek Marr, Tommy Arnett, Chad Arnett, Bobby Buck, Mike Durrett, and Danny Creason

Honorary pallbearers: Calvin Creason, Larry Creason, Dean Lewis Warren, Ellis Creason, and the Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Circle (C.P.W.)

Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr, Green Co., KY (1923-2017)

Mrs. Lottie Irene Creason Marr was the daughter of the late Jake Creason & Flora McCubbin Creason. She was born on Friday, February 23, 1923 in Green County, KY and departed this life on Saturday, September 2, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 94 years, six months, and 10 days

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was a member of the Oak Forest Cumberland Presbyterian Church, taught Bible study and Sunday school for approximately 60 years, served in the church choir, Missions President, and Cumberland Presbyterian Women's Circle. She went back to college and graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 1973 with an Associates of Arts Degree after graduating high school in the late 40's. She united in marriage to Porter Marr on February 8, 1940 who preceded her in death on June 29, 1999.

Survivors include:
  • A daughter: Judy Marr Arnett of Greensburg, KY

  • A son and daughter-in-law: Barry and Carol Marr of Bowling Green, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Lisa Arnett Buck and her husband Robert; Susan Arnett, Tommy Arnett, Chad Arnett and his wife, Martha; B.J. Marr and his wife, Traci; and Derek Marr and his wife, Jeannie

  • Eleven great-grandchildren: Anthony Buck, Dylan White, Alex Arnett, Mary Anna Rollenhagen, George Rollenhagen, Alison Arnett, Addison Marr, Autumn Arnett, Lucas Marr, Audrey Arnett, and Max Marr

  • A brother and two sisters-in-law: Arthur and Doris Jean Creason, and Nettie Creason all of Greensburg, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Marr was also preceded in death by a son-in-law: Edgar Thomas Arnett; brothers and sisters: Carl Creason, Rollin Creason, Alton "John Boy" Creason, Nellie Marr, Dorsey Russell, and Clovis Creason.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
