Robert L. Bertram, Russell Co., KY (1940-2017)

He was the patriarch of a distinguished South Central Kentucky family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His wife of 54 years, Glenna Bernard Bertram, survives. He leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Robert L. Bertram, age 76, of Jamestown, Ky passed away Monday, August 7, 2017 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY, after a short illness.

Services for Robert L. Bertram will be Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Jamestown First Baptist Church, 165 West Cumberland Avenue, Jamestown, KY at 11amCT. Visitation will be 5pm-8pmCT, on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, and after 10amCT, on Thursday, at First Baptist Church. Interment will be in Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.

He was born August 27, 2017. He died, Monday, August 7, 2017, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 76 years, 11 months, 11 days.

Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

He was married to Glenna Bernard on September 7, 1962 and they were married 54 years.

Bob is survived by:
  • Four children: daughter Ann Bertram Scott and her husband Jack; son Dr. Robert L Bertram, Jr. and his wife Jill; daughter Ann Bertram Scott and her husband Jack; daughter Dr. Rebecca Bertram, and son William G. Bertram and his wife Nicole

  • Fourteen grandchildren: Sarah, Parker, Samuel, Judd, and Stuart Scott, J. R. and his his wife Beth, Benjamin and Henry Bertram; Lauren and Jenna White and Elizabeth, Tinsley, Franklin, and William Bertram.
