Marita Warren Wright, 78, of Campbellsville, KY, died at 6:32amET, Monday, July 31, 2017 in Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be at 10amCT/11amET, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Avenue, Campbellsville, KY, by Bro. Freddy Thompson and Bro. Brent Gupton. Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Separate Baptist Church Cemetery, Larue County, KY. Visitation will be 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at the funeral home.



Marita Warren Wright, Campbellsville, KY (1938-2017)


Marita Warren Wright was the daughter of the late William McKinley Underwood & Lucretia Scott Underwood. She was born December 23, 1938, in Larue County, KY. She died Monday, July 31, 2017 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 78 years, seven months, and eight days.

She professed faith in Christ and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

Marita loved quilting as a hobby and enjoyed giving the quilts to family and friends. She also loved spending time with her family.

She united in marriage to Harvey D. Warren who preceded her in death. She later united in marriage to Irvin Wright.

Besides her husband, Irvin Wright of Campbellsville, KY, she is survived by:
  • One son and one daughter: Michael Warren and wife, Deborah of Savannah, GA; and Terri Richerson and husband, Sam, of Campbellsville, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Rachael Kelly Warren, Elaine Casey Warren, Victoria Kendall Warren, Kevin Richerson and companion, Lisa Kearnes, Tiffany Richerson and companion, Jacob Covin and David Richerson

  • One great-granddaughter: Presley Covin

  • One sister: Margaret Meers of Gibson City, IL

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • and many other relatives and friends
She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister: Russell Underwood, Thomas Underwood and Louise Whitehouse and two siblings in infancy.
