Beatrice VanArsdale Bagby, 86 (1931-2017) Green County, KY

Mrs. Bagby made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the Mt. Holly United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY. She was a native Green County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the Homer Cecil VanArsdale & Carrie Shuffett VanArsdale Pruitt. Her husband Lapsley Bagby, survives. She leaves 26 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Beatrice VanArsdale Bagby, 86,Green County, KY, departed this life June 26, 2017 at the Baptist Health of Louisville Hospital.

Funeral services for Mrs. Bagby will be conducted 1pmCT Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home, 209 W Court Street, Greensburg, KY, Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery in Green County, KY. Visitation will be from 10amCT, Saturday until the funeral hour at 1pmCT.



Pallbearers: Steve Bagby, Sr.; Larry Bagby, Richard Slough, Kalen Caple, Adam D'Alesandro, Steve Bagby, Jr; Ricky Bagby, and Russell Meredith.

Mrs. Beatrice VanArsdale Bagby was born February 4, 1931 in Green County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Homer Cecil VanArsdale & Carrie Shuffett VanArsdale Pruitt. She died June 26, 2017, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 86 years, four months, and 24 days.
Mrs. Bagby made a profession of faith in Christ, and was a member of the Mt. Holly United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Wendell Ray VanArsdale, Home Carmen VanArsdale, Martha Hortense VanArsdale, Elois Pepper, Juanita VanArsdale, and James Cecil Vanardsdale.

She is survived by:
  • Her husband: Lapsley Bagby

  • Her children: Donna Jean Bagby Walker of Middletown, KY; Annette Pauline Caple of Easley, SC;, Larry Wilson Bagby of Jasper, IN:, Steve Thomas Bagby of Bullitt Co. KY: and Patsy Diane Pruitt of Greensburg, KY

  • One sister: Elnora Davis of the Grab Community of Green County, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be donations to the Bethlehem Cemetery. These can be made at the funeral home.
