On Thursday, June 15, 2015, UK Cooperative Extension Agent Tony Rose visited Camp Rocket at Adair County Primary Center, 158 Col. Casey Drive, Columbia, KY.

He brought model rockets that he had built and talked to the students about the parts of the rockets, what those parts are and how they work to make rockets fly

.

Mr. Rose launched the rocket with the help of Lily Myers and birthday girl, Elizabeth Wethington. Everyone else did the countdown.

One rocket went completely out of sight and the theory is that the rocket poked a hole in those dark clouds and made it rain! Well, that's the story and we're sticking to it! - Dana Harmon
