Thomas William Sprowles, 52, Taylor Co., KY (1965-2017)

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the God's Grace Church in Campbellsville. He was a former contractor, a farmer and former employee of Cox Interiors. He enjoyed owning and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, loved working on anything that needed fixing and in spare time making cherry furniture. He was the son of Vernice Sprowles Carnes of Campbellsville, KY, and the late Thomas Ervine Sprowles. He leaves seven direct living descendants.

Thomas William Sprowles, 52, of Campbellsville, KY, departed this life,Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Campbellsville at his home.

The funeral service for Thomas William Sprowles, will be Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmET in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY, with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens, 700 Old U.S. 68, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Billy Adams will be officiating. Visitation after 9amCT/10amET, Tuesday at the funeral home.

Thomas William Sprowles, was the son of Vernice Sprowles Carnes of Campbellsville, KY, and the late Thomas Ervine Sprowles. He was born Monday, January 11, 1965 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY. He died, Saturday, June 10, 2017, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. He was 52 years, 4 months and 30 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the God's Grace Church in Campbellsville. He was a former contractor, a farmer and former employee of Cox Interiors. He enjoyed owning and riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, loved working on anything that needed fixing and in spare time making cherry furniture.

Besides his mother, he is survived by:
  • Three daughters: Mykah Wyatt and companion Chris Cook, and Caneyah Bowen all of Campbellsville, KY; and Gracelyn O'Rafferty of Bardstown, KY

  • A son: Talon Gage Owens of Springfield, KY

  • Half-brother and sister: Larry Akin and wife Delora, Kenneth Sprowles, Joyce Summers and Glen Sprowles

  • Step-brothers and sister: Dennis Carnes and wife Viola of Indianapolis, IN; Robert Carnes and wife Patty of Michigan; Clifford Larry Carnes and wife Mamie of Greensburg, KY; and Robin Burton and husband Gary of Campbellsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Elyjah Wheeler, Alley Wheeler and Camreon Crowdus and a host of other relatives and friends
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by a half sister: Genia Sherrill.
