She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ. She was a daughter of the late Samuel Jackson & Iola Bernice Wilborn Walker. She lives one direct living descendant, a daughter, Vicki Jessie Nason Compton, of Cave City, KY.

Little Nell Walker Fernandez, age 80, of Glasgow, KY, died Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Diversicare of Glasgow.

Funeral services will be Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 2pmCT at the McMurtrey Funeral Home. 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. Burial will follow in the White Cemetery. Visitation was 2pm-8pmCT, Friday, May 19, 2017, and on Saturday after 8amCT, until time of services.

Born September 18, 1936, in Nobob, KY, she was a daughter of the late Samuel Jackson & Iola Bernice Wilborn Walker. She died Thursday, May 18, 2017, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 80 years, eight months.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Antioch Church of Christ.

She is survived by:
  • One daughter Vicki Jessie Nason Compton and her husband Mark, Cave City, KY

  • Two brothers Robert (Shirley) Walker, Elizabethtown and Oren Walker, Glasgow, KY

  • And several nieces, nephews, and cousins
She was preceded in death, besides her parents, by two sisters Cordelia Walden and Imogene Westmoreland and one brother Ivan Walker.
