Rural Mail Carriers annual food drive is Sat: 13 May 2017 25th Anniversary of nation's largest single day food drive. Donations may be made each business day leading up to and including May 13, 2017, at Columbia Post Office or left by mailbox on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Click on headline for complete story CM News story from Columbia, KY 42728 Post Office Columbia Postmaster Randal Murrell reminds Adair Countians that the local post office will be participating in the 25th Annual National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) "Stamp Out Hunger(r) Food Drive, Saturday, May 13, 2017. The drive is the largest one-day food drive in the country. All donations will be delivered to a local food bank, Mr. Murrell said. Mail Carriers in Columbia and Adair County will accepting donations of non-perishable food items on that day. Donors can place food donations at their mailboxes on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Donations may also be made at the Columbia Post Office, 800 Burkesville Street, any time before May 13, 2017, for hours see: USPS post offices.com/Columbia, KY Items accepted according to Postmaster Murrell, will be food items like canned meats and fish, canned soup, juice, pasta, vegetables, cereal and rice to help families in need in the community.
