William Conrad Claycomb, Sr., Taylor Co., KY (1924-2017) Conrad was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was also a German prisoner of war in World War II for nine months from 1944-1945. He will be accorded full military honors by the Marion County Honor Guard at committal rites. He was a member of the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was a retired employee of TGT and retired after 38 years of service. He was a life-long member of Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM. He was the widower of Dorothy Sexton Claycomb, his wife of 67 years. He leaves 12 direct living descendants spanning four generations. He was born on June 16, 1924, in Taylor County, KY. He died Monday, March 27, 2017 in Wilmore, Jessamine County, KY, at the age of 92 years, nine months, and 11 days. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Conrad was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army. He was also a German prisoner of war in World War II for nine months from 1944-1945. He was a retired employee of TGT and retired after thirty-eight years of service and was a life-long member of Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM.
