His wife, Ida Hinton Doss, survives. He leaves four direct and three step grandchildren. He was a member of Central Church of Christ in Columbia, KY. He was KY Colonel twice, an Insurance Agent and Financial Advisor. He was employed with Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company and Reed Brothers Insurance in Columbia and he was recognized as agent of the month and year several times.
