Adair County Middle School eighth grade student Laura Furkins has been selected as the school's Student of the Month.

According to Principal Alma Rich, Furkins was selected because she shows great PRIDE (positive attitude, respect, integrity, determination, and excellence). "Laura Furkins is an inspiration," Rich says. "She comes to school daily with a smile on her face and gives us 110-percent at all times. Laura faces health issues on a daily basis but does not let that stop her from living her life to the fullest and being determined to make the best of each day."

Congratulations to Laura for a great accomplishment!
