Carolyn Sue (Suzie) Dean, 76, Casey County, KY (1940-2017)

She was a native of Peru, IN, a former resident of Liberty, KY, and a resident of Elizabethtown, KY, at the time of her death there. She was the former co-owner of Dean's Grocery and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. Her final resting place will be in the Peavey Cemetery in Casey County, KY. She leaves 14 direct living descendants.

Carolyn Sue "Suzie" Dean, age 76, of Radcliff, KY formerly of Liberty, KY passed away on Monday January 9, 2017 at Helmwood Healthcare, Elizabethtown, KY.

Funeral Services will be held 1pmCT/2pmET, Saturday January 14, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel, 142 KY Hwy 49, Liberty, KY, with Pastor Denver Copeland officiating. Burial will be in the Peavey Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5pm-8pmCT/6pm-9pmET, Friday, January 13, 2017 and after 7amCT/8amET, on Saturday January 14, 2017 at Bartle Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born in Peru, Miami County, IN on September 7, 1940. She was a daughter of the late Raymond Francis Zimmerman and Lennie Lenore Gruel LeMasters. She died onday January 9, 2017 in Elizabethtown, Hardin County, KY, at the age of 76 years, four months, and two days..

Suzie was the widow of George Wayne Dean.

Suzie was the former co-owner of Dean's Grocery and was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter: Susan and (Gabriel) Onusko of Radcliff, KY

  • Two sons: David Dean of Lawrenceburg, KY; and Paul and (Ninette) Dean of Washington, DC

  • Six grandchildren

  • Five great grandchildren

  • One sister: Sherry Dean of Elizabethtown, KY

  • Three brothers: David LeMasters of San Antonio, TX; Darrell Gaddis of Greenfield, IN; and Mike Emmerd of Logansport, IN
Preceding her in death besides her parents and spouse was One Brother: Raymond Francis Zimmerman Jr.
