Jackie Tim Strode, 60, of the Eighty Eight community, Barren County, KY died Thursday, December 22, 2016 at his home.

Funeral Services will be December 27, 2016, at 11amCT, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. with viewing starting Monday, December 26, 2016 from 2pm till 8pmCT. Burial will be in the Summer Shade Cemetery, Summer Shade, KY.



Jackie Tim Strode, 60, Eighty Eight, KY (1956-2016)


He was born May 1, 1956 in Tompkinsville, Monroe County, KY. He was the son of the late James Strode and Della Hurt Strode, who survives. He died Thursday, December 22, 2016, at his home in Eighty-Eight, Barren County, KY, at the age of 60 years, seven months, and 21 days. He retired from SKF (Tyson Bearing Co) after 37 years as a maintenance man.

He is survived by:
  • One son: Tim (Bridget) Strode of Glasgow, KY

  • Three sisters: Betty Blankenship of Edmonton, KY; Joyce (Terry) Blythe of Louisville, KY; and Barbara (Mickey) White of Marrowbone, KY.

  • Two brothers: Jody Strode and Kenny (Sylvia) Strode of Tompkinsville, KY

  • Three grandchildren: Noah, Ian and Lydia Strode
He was preceded in death by his father, James Strode.
