Section of Cumberland Trace Road in Bowling Green closed

By Wes Watt, Public Informaton Officer
KY Transportation Cabinet, District 3, Bowling Green, KY

BOWLING GREEN, KY (Mon 28 Nov 2016 - 11:40pmCT) – A section of KY 2158 Cumberland Trace Road in Bowling Green is closed due to multiple utilities being blown over the roadway during a heavy wind storm on Monday night. The section of KY 2158 Cumberland Trace Road that is closed to thru traffic is between KY 234 Cemetery Road and Wagon Trail.

It is to be determined how long that section of roadway will remain closed. Representatives from Bowling Green Municipal Utilities estimated several days or longer to make repairs, but were unable to determine what kind of impacts there will be to the roadway. Residents can still access their houses. Those needing access from Wagon Trail to U.S. 231 Scottsville Road will need to access KY 2158 Cumberland Trace Road from U.S. 231 Scottsville Road. Those needing access from KY 234 Cemetery Road to Cumberland Circle need to access KY 2158 Cumberland Road from KY 234 Cemetery Road.
