LWC swimming at Brenau Invitational Friday and Saturday By Anthony Latessa The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's swim team competes at the Brenau Invitational Friday and Saturday at Brenau University (Ga.) at the Francis Meadows Aquatic Center, 1545 Community Way, Gainesville, GA. The Blue Raider men last competed on Nov. 5 picking up a 170-74 victory over Campbellsville (Ky.) and a 164-71 victory against Union (Ky.). Lindsey Wilson won 13 events led by Iker Larzabal's three individual wins. Clemens Paetzold, Michael Peck and Jonas Mueller picked up two individual wins each. The Blue Raiders also picked up two relay wins. The women also picked up a 140-113 victory over Campbellsville and defeated Union 154-90 on Nov. 5. The Blue Raiders won nine events on the day led by Jessica Macdonald and Ines Khiyara picking up three individual wins each. Emily Wood won two individual events and the 200-meter freestyle relay team also picked up a victory. Last season at the Brenau Invitation the Lindsey Wilson men finished in third-place and had a total of 452 team points. Paetzold finished third in both 200-yard backstroke and 200-yard individual medley. Zachary Patzer set an individual program record with a time of 21.79 in the 50-yard freestyle. The Blue Raider women finished fifth at the Brenau Invitation last year with a 279 team points. Wood finished seventh in the 500-yard freestyle and eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke. Courtney Fleeger finished 10th in the 400-yard individual medley and Laura Stephenson captured third place in the 100-yard butterfly event.
