James Monroe Stovall age 82 of Louisville passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016, at St. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be held 1pmCT, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, with burial in the Hiser Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT, Wednesday until service time at the funeral home.



James Monroe Stovall, 82, Metcalfe Co., KY (1934-2016)


He was the son of the late Edgar and Clara Mae Wheeler Stovall. He was born July 31, 1934. He died Saturday, November 12, 2016, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 82 years, three months, and 12 days.

He was retired from General Electric in Louisville, KY.

He is survived by his wife Bobbie Fish Stovall of Louisville, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Terry Stovall and wife Kathy of Lebanon Junction, KY

  • Three daughters: Carrol Dawson and husband Tim of Bardstown, KY; Sherry Bratcher and husband Roger of Louisville, KY; and Aleisa Fox and husband James Dale of Elizabethtown, KY

  • One brother: Barry Kaye Stovall of Center

  • Nine grandchildren

  • Ten great grandchildren
