By Wes Feese Media Relations, Adair County Schools The Adair County Indians kick off the 2016 state football playoffs tomorrow evening with a highly-anticipated home matchup against the Braves of Union County. The Tribe (7-3) enters the contest as the No. 2 seed in District 2, while Union County (6-4) earned District 1's No. 3 seed. On paper, the matchup looks to be hotly contested, as both squads boast explosive offenses, with Adair averaging 37 points per game and Union County accumulating 34 per contest. The lone common opponent between the two teams, Hart County, fared poorly against both squads, losing to the Indians 43-6 and falling to Union County 47-6. Kickoff is set for 7pmCT, following teacher recognition at 6:30pmCT, and the District 2 runner-up trophy presentation at 6:45pmCT. Suggested Traffic Routes Tomorrow night's football game is not the only campus event on the schedule, with Adair County Primary Center's Fall Festival, at 158 Col. Casey Drive, running from 5pm-7pmCT, so ACHS Athletic Director Brent Campbell and ACPC Principal Patty Jones ask that attendees follow these rules for entering and leaving campus: Fall festival patrons are asked to enter and exit campus from the bus garage entrance, Col. Casey Drive, off of Columbia Bypass. Football fans may enter from either onto Indian Drive onto Greensburg Street or the football field's Booster Drive entrance off the bypass. The Adair County Elementary School bypass entrance, Indian Drive, will be closed. "We ask that everyone please follow these guidelines so we don't have a ton of congestion going in and out of the schools," Campbell says. This story was posted on 2016-11-03 19:40:19
