Charles Leroy Payne, age 73, of Glasgow, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at his residence.

A memorial services will be held at a later date, as cremation was chosen.

Born May 7, 1943 in Lamb, he was a son of the late Carl and Lottie Belle Williams Payne. He died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 73 years, five months, and 25 days.

He was a self employed Mechanic and a Christian.

Survivors include:
  • One son: Charlie (Heather) Payne, Glasgow, KY

  • His partner of 25 years: Jessie Mattax

  • One sister: Brenda (Richard) Pook, Glasgow, KY

  • Two brothers: Dale (Ann) Payne, Glasgow, KY; and Roger (Dorothy) Payne, Glasgow, KY

  • Six grandchildren: Evan, Austin, Candler, Chance, Ridge, and Kristen

  • The children of his partner: Redonna (Chris) Isenberg, and Misty (Josh) Burton

  • And their grandchildren: Mahalia, Ethan, Zach, and Amber.
