No. 4 LW Women's Soccer claims top seed at MSC Tournament

COLUMBIA, KY - (Mon 31 Oct 2016) - The No. 4-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team is the top seed in the Mid-South Conference Tournament as the conference office released the tournament bracket this afternoon.



The Blue Raiders (12-3, 7-0 MSC) received the No. 1 seed by virtue of winning the MSC regular season title outright and play No. 8-seed Pikeville (Ky.) in the first quarterfinal matchup on Thursday at noon CT at Warren East High School in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Georgetown (KY) won the tiebreaker over Cumberland (TN) to receive the tournament's No. 2 seed. Cumberland will be the third seed in the tournament followed by No. 4-seeded Cumberlands (KY) and No. 5-seeded Shawnee State (Ohio).

Campbellsville (KY) and Life (GA) complete the bracket as the No. 6 and No. 7 seeds, respectively.
