Note: An individual charged by police or in a warrant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
By Lt. Jeremy Murrell From Sherry H. Bray, KSP Headquarters, Public Affairs Branch
GLASGOW, KY - On October 27, 2016, the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch arrested Ralph W. Goss, 34, on charges related to possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and use of a minor (under sixteen) in a sex performance.
Mr. Goss was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after receiving information from investigators in Colorado that Goss was soliciting a minor for images of child sexual exploitation.
The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant at the residence in Glasgow on October 28, 2016. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP's forensic laboratory for examination. The investigation is ongoing.
Mr. Goss is currently charged with twenty counts of possession of matter portraying a sex performance by a minor and twenty counts of use of a minor (under sixteen) in a sex performance. He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center. Additional charges are expected.
