Traffic still blocked on KY 551 at Discount Auto Update to next earlier story by Larry Smith, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg : Larry Smith: Large structure fire at Egypt closes KY 551 By Ed & Linda Waggener EGYPT, ADAIR CO., KY - (9:40amCT Wed 26 Oct 2016) - Highway 551 is still blocked due to the massive fire at Billy Rice Auto. First responders from the Adair County Fire Department, Knifley Fire Department and Adair County Sheriff's office have been on the scene since the fire was discovered around 7:20 a.m. when an employee came in to find the building engulfed in flames. The location is on the Knifley Road, in the Egypt community of Adair County. His building is a total loss however, builder Mike Newton is on site and says they can get him back up and running within days or a few weeks.
