By Matt Wurzburger COLUBMIA, KY - The second-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's soccer team snapped a three-match losing streak with a 3-1 victory over No. 20 Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) in the first day of the Lindsey Wilson Classic Friday night at Walter S. Reuling Stadium. Friday's victory was the first for the Blue Raiders (3-3-0) since they defeated No. 10 Vanguard (CA) on August 26. Lindsey Wilson broke through first in the 43rd minute when Delfina Santellan scored her second goal of the season. Emelie Liljered set up the goal with a strong run on the end line followed by a diagonal cross through the middle of the 18-yard box, which Santellan powered past the goalkeeper. Lindsey Wilson carried a 1-0 advantage into the break, outshooting the Tigers (3-1-2) 10-3 in the first 45 minutes. Olivet Nazarene drew even in the 47th minute on a counterattack following a Blue Raider free kick. Sarah Buffum received a long lob pass and sent a chip shot over an onrushing Johanna Henriksson. Yvonne Ploeg returned from a two-match absence to score the game-winning goal in the 59th minute - her ninth-career match winner. The sophomore forward fired a long-range shot that slipped past the keeper and into the upper, far-side corner. Veronica Kurtz-Martinez sealed the match with a goal in the 90th minute. Kurtz-Martinez received an Annika Koemm cross just outside the six-yard box and shot to the far post for the score. Johanna Henriksson stopped two shots in goal for Lindsey Wilson in her 75th career appearance in goal, which set the Blue Raider record. She also set the record for the most career minutes in net for Lindsey Wilson. Henriksson surpassed Carrie Revlet's mark of 6,445 minutes and now has logged 6,481 minutes in goal.
